Fernando Criollo Navarro is a visual artist whose practice moves between poetic explorations of myth and dreamlike investigations of territory, in dialogue with collective ritual, magical thinking, and the birth of technological cosmogonies. Co-founder of the Pariacaca Collective.
His film Cumbres y Cenizas (2021) won the national short film competition with special mention in best sound and best photography, was premiered at the Clermont Ferrand Festival, and was invited to New Directors/New Films at MoMA. El Nacimiento de Antares (2023) was exhibited at PhMuseum in Bologna and at Vannes Photo, while Quyllur Alfa (2025) was presented at the Porto Biennial of Photography. His film Anima Mundi received the National Fund for Experimental Film in 2023. In 2025 he was selected for the Labocine residency in Paris and the El Último Respiro residency, organized by the Alliance Française and the Goethe Institut. In 2026 he is a finalist in the Pasaporte para un Artista competition and winner of the National Visual Arts Production Competition of the Ministry of Culture.
